Mr. Ebrahim is a professional accountant and Islamic Finance advisor. He brings with him over 20 years’ experience in financial advisory industry. He holds an MBA from The University of Manchester in UK, CPA (K), ACIFE from Ethica Institute of Islamic Finance in Dubai. He also holds membership with MCSI, ACMA, ICPAK, CFIP and many other professional bodies.
Mr. Ebrahim is a partner in Ace Group of Companies and also chairs our Board Business & Finance Committee.
Mr. Heidi is an expert in Public Policy, Governance and Local Economic Development in the fields of Business and Entrepreneurship development, Gender Equality and Women Empowerment and Youth Development. Heidi brings to the board 15 years’ experience supporting women and youth led micro and small enterprises through training, business development services, market linkages, business financing, strategy development. And policy advocacy.
Ms. Heidi holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) from Maseno University, and she is an alumna of the YALI Regional Leadership Centre East Africa, The Hague Academy for Local Governance, and the African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative (AWEC) program. She also chairs our Board Audit & Risk Committee of the Board.
Mrs. Carolyne holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Moi University and a post graduate diploma from Kenya school of law. She is a certified professional mediator with Mediation Training Institute – East Africa and is currently pursuing a company secretarial course (CS) with KASNEB.
She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with vast experience in Corporate, Commercial and Employment law. She is the founder of Mboku & Company Advocates and is a senior research consultant in the firm of IRB Mbuya & Company Advocates both located in the heart of Mombasa. She is a member of the East Africa Law Society, Law Society of Kenya and Mombasa Law society where she currently sits as a committee member in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee.
Carolyne is passionate about women rights. She also sits as the Upcountry (Coast) Representative in the Governing Council of FIDA – Kenya, a women rights’ organization that conducts research on matters affecting women, trains women on leadership and good governance and assists women and children to access justice through free legal representation.
Mr. Said is the founder and the Group CEO; he also serves as the deputy chair in the board.
He is a seasonal banker and a technology expert with over 13 years’ experience in financial and projects management having worked with different banks and micro finance institutions in Kenya.
He holds a BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering from Lim Kok Wing University, Malaysia and also a finalist of Master in Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management at the University of Nairobi. He is a strategic leader who brings to the board wealth of experience on best management practices. He is also the founder & chairman of Intrasoft Technologies Limited.
Mr. Mwatata brings to the board wealth experience on policy formulation and strategic planning; he has been greatly involved in developing policies and strategies for youth and women entrepreneurship financing and development in Kenya.
He brings with him 13 years’ experience in audit, finance, and management in both private and public sectors. He has previously served as Regional Coordinator for YMCA – Mombasa, Risk Analyst at Cooperative Bank of Kenya, Chief Internal Auditor at Kenya National Library Services and also on different ranks at the Youth Enterprise Development Fund from Audit to Monitoring & Evaluation Manager and finally as Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Mwatata is a holder of Diploma in Cooperative Management from Cooperative College, BBA (Accounting & Finance), MBA (Strategic Management) from University of Nairobi, CPA (K), and a member of ICPAK & IIA. Mr. Mwatata is also serving as the Executive Director of Hazina Group Foundation; a charitable investment arm of Hazina Development Trust Limited and its subsidiary companies.
