We seek to recruit an honest, competent, reliable, meticulous attention to detail, and self-driven individual to serve in the position of Human Resource & Administration Officer to be based at our Head Office in Mombasa.

  • Provide effective management of employee records both on hard and soft copies; keeping them updated while ensuring high confidentiality of employee information.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Coordinate staff welfare initiatives and HR events of the group.
  • Serve as point of contact with pension scheme administrators and other employee benefits vendors ensuring timely inclusion and removal of employees in various employee benefits.
  • Support in carrying out employee recruitment and onboarding processes as well as offboarding processes.
  • Manage staff communications and correspondences in a constructive and timely manner.
  • Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests and escalate where need be.
  • Proactively keeping with latest HR trends and identify opportunities for efficiency gains and process improvements as necessary to streamline HR activities and where possible resolve discrepancies.
  • Efficiently provide employee administrative support not limited to payroll, leave management, attendance, employee satisfaction and performance appraisal activities.
  •  Assist in implementation of occupation health and safety initiatives.
  • Periodically conduct employee satisfaction surveys and training needs assessments and support in implementation of agreed initiatives.
  • Supervise Admin Assistant and manage procurement processes.
  • Participate in the review of Human Resource & Administration policies.
  • Serve as a secretary to the management committees, schedule meetings, maintain agendas and recording minutes.
  • Periodically produce and submit reports to the CEO on HR & Admin functions.
  • Assist the CEO with day-to-day HR operations and other duties as shall be required.

Minimum Requiments

  • Must have at least a Certificate in Human Resource.
  • Must have at least 2 year working experience in a similar role. Associate members of IHRM have an added advantage.
  • Must have sound knowledge of the Labour Laws in Kenya.
  • Must demonstrate understanding of HR functions & best practises.
  • Must be residing in or willing to relocate to Mombasa.
  • Must have excellent analytical as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work under pressure meeting strict deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate learning agility, positive can-do attitude, and passion to grow.
  • Must be a team player with excellent people skills.
